WSL

NoonManchester City v Arsenal live

Arsenal are under pressure just four games into the campaign, having drawn in their past two games and disappointing in a 1-1 tie against Villa last weekend. The Arsenal already trail Chelsea by four points. Grand Prix

2pmF1 Singapore qualifying

Live updates will provide the latest in what is sure to be a exciting qualifying. Back-to-back race wins for Max Verstappen have injected more intrigue to the championship battle. Oscar Piastri and Norris will be keen for good outings in the Singapore GP. McLaren’s strong form for most of the season means they are likely to claim a tenth constructors’ title on Sunday, but Verstappen’s resurgence has triggered a few nerves. Although Piastri still is ahead of Norris by 25 pts in what still looks like a two-driver battle for the driver’s title, any setbacks could let Verstappen to close the 69-pt gap to the lead.

Premier League

3pmLive: Arsenal vs West Ham & Man Utd vs Sunderland

Live blog on compelling fixtures with two managers especially under the spotlight. The unrelenting focus on Amorim's travails at Manchester United has ramped up to a crucial point, and the meeting with the Black Cats has all the makings of a watershed before the international break. Amorim’s fiftieth match in charge might be his final, despite United winning their past two home fixtures. Following 49 games, his stats stands at: 18 wins, drawn 12, 19 losses. That 36.7% win rate differs greatly with his predecessor ten Hag's 70% at the same stage. West Ham, meanwhile, run out for their second game under Nuno Espírito Santo, after Monday’s 1-1 tie at Goodison Park. The Hammers have the interesting record of having beaten Arsenal back-to-back at the Emirates Stadium. Another home defeat by their London rivals is doubtful given the Gunners’ recent form – six wins from their last eight top-flight fixtures.

EPL

Saturday’s evening fixture sees the collision of teams in a dip in form. Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea have suffered successive Premier League defeats, to Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion, while the defending champions were beaten 2-1 to Crystal Palace before slipping up in the Champions League in Turkey in midweek. Slot's team are winless in their last four Premier League games at their home ground but have not lost back-to-back league matches since April 2023. Searching for signs? Alexander Isak, Liverpool’s summer signing, has scored in his last two Premier League games at Stamford Bridge, though both games ended in defeats for his former team Newcastle United. Live blog will be hosted.

Horse Racing

Quarter to twelveLive: Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe

Pre-race analysis and washup from one of the racing calendar’s biggest races will be provided. In a field of 17 for the 3.05pm big race, the O'Brien-trained Minnie Hauk is the 3-1 favourite after being handed a favourable draw in stall one. The trainer, who is seeking a third win in the race, also fields another contender, third-placed last year, but he will have to overcome gate 14 to win. Another runner, who is just after the favorite in the betting, was given gate 12. Chances of a first Japanese-trained winner were diminished, with the Japanese Derby winner, Croix Du Nord, and the Prix Foy winner, Byzantine Dream, assigned in stalls 17 and 15 respectively. Their countryman a third Japanese runner appears better placed in four. André Fabre’s pair of two runners did better with stalls three and eight each, while Francis-Henri Graffard’s three could have done worse.

Live commentary of the big race under the night lights will be offered. Clearly Verstappen has form – he was second at his home race in the Dutch GP before his wins in Monza and Baku – but likely still requires a major McLaren drop in form, as well as victories in the final seven races and three sprints, to {clin
