British Airways is introducing complimentary high-speed in-flight connectivity via satellite partnership
Flyers on this carrier can soon enjoy quick wifi during flights at no cost due to a major agreement with SpaceX's satellite provider.
Complimentary plus Quick Wifi Available to Everyone
The carrier revealed that the free, “fast and dependable” connectivity service from the satellite provider becomes accessible for customers flying economy, premium economy, and first class starting the coming month.
Broad Deployment Over Various Flight Operators
The parent company of BA, IAG, announced it had finalized an agreement with SpaceX to offer wifi coverage for more than 500 jets within its carriers, which also include the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, and Vueling.
Smooth Connectivity starting at Gate to Landing
BA stated that this introduction of the service formed part of a multi-billion pound “transformation” program and will deliver lag-free wifi access to flyers starting at boarding through landing, also when they are flying above large bodies of water or remote regions.
Customers will be able to link several devices while do not require a special access code.

Current Internet Services
Restricted connectivity service remains available for British Airways flyers on nearly all of its planes through the .air system.
Members in the airline's reward scheme are able to dispatch messages and plain-text messages during flights free of charge, while travelers looking to access music, movies, or content during the journey and are not travelling in business or first might pay between £4.99 to £21.99 for a wifi package.

Starlink uses a system of many thousands with orbiting devices and it's operated under SpaceX’s aerospace firm.
Recent Developments at the Airline
The airline's leadership have been focusing to improve operations again after a period with budget reductions, IT problems, industrial action, plus large-scale layoffs.
The airline explained that use with AI has assisted them to reach their timeliness at record highs from 2012.
Profit Outlook
Earlier this year, the carrier announced a jump for earnings for the first six months of this year, assisting the parent company results higher.
International Airlines Group is set to report their earnings covering the quarter this summer shortly.

The airline's announcement comes shortly following wireless operator the telecom firm revealed it was teaming up alongside Starlink to enhance mobile network service in rural parts in Britain, letting consumers to automatically link handsets through space-based systems if there is no regular network coverage exists.
